Soft Aging is how we work.

Gently, daily, over a long time. It is not a way to erase years. It is a way to make peace with them.

QFORET means Quest for the ForĂȘt.

A quest, because we are still looking. ForĂȘt, because the answer kept arriving from the same place. Korea is mostly mountain. The plants we work with come from that landscape, and we kept going back to it.

Red came before we did.

In old Korean, dahn means red, and it is also the color of remedy. We did not pick it. The plants did. The red in our shampoo comes from gardenia, not from a dye bottle.

Professor Mun Seog Chang, founder of QGENETICS

Medicine waits for a symptom.

It arrives after something has gone wrong, and it is very good at that job. But most days are not that day. Most days nothing is wrong, and so nothing gets done either. At Kyung Hee University College of Korean Medicine, a researcher who had worked at Harvard Medical School kept coming back to that gap. He had spent years in molecular biology, and he wanted to know what the old plants would say under a microscope. Seven of them kept answering. That became DAHN-7.

So QGENETICS runs two tracks.

One is a laboratory with a clinical pipeline, and it does what laboratories do. The other is this one. Same plants, same building, different job. Nothing here treats anything. It is made for the ordinary morning, the one with no symptom in it, and those are most of them. We keep the two apart on purpose. A shampoo that borrows the language of medicine is a worse shampoo.

There are things we won't promise.

Not a different face. Not a faster result. Here is what we will put in writing: no SLS, pH around 5, color from gardenia and not from dye.

We give a little back.

We have been a member of 1% for the Planet since 2023. One percent of everything we sell goes to environmental nonprofits, every year.

Return to Comfort. It takes time, not speed.
